Fasting is the action of voluntarily renouncing solid food and stimulants for a limited period of time. Done correctly, a good performance level can be maintained during fasting without the sensation of hunger. Fasting affects the entirety of body, mind and soul of the practitioner.
During fasting, the following rules must be observed:
- sufficient intake of calorie-free liquids (min. 2.5 l/day) in the form of water, mineral water or herbal tea plus natural food ingredients in liquid form such as vegetable broth, fruit and vegetable juices, and a little honey. Total calorie intake should not exceed 500 kcal/day
- stimulation of excretion processes via the intestines, the liver, the kidneys, the lungs and the skin
- establishment of a balance between physical activity and rest
- careful build-up with vegetarian food after fasting and redirection toward a more healthy lifestyle
The human organism has the ability to maintain itself for some time by using own inner resources.
The switch to our body reserves is associated with changes in our metabolism and our psyche which must be addressed by the fasting coach, and which require that the fasting process is implemented methodically correct. Fasting is as old as humanity. Fasting as a healing method is a technique we encounter in many ancient cultures everywhere in the world. More than 2,400 years ago, Hippocrates mentioned fasting as a preventive and therapeutic method that he himself used.
In their professional lives, modern people are subject to many unhealthy factors such as deficient nutrition, environmental pollution, traffic, stress, the demands of multi-tasking, lack of movement, information overload, excessive consumption, sensual overload and loss of inner balance.
Fasting is a holistic approach comprising body, mind and soul.
Fasting for healthy persons offers the opportunity to unwind, to reorganise and redirect one’s life.
Therapeutic fasting for sick persons is successfully applied in many natural healing clinics. The purpose here is to stimulate the body’s self-healing powers and prepare the path to recovery.
Fasting offers you the opportunity to actively influence your health status, to maintain your health or to regain it.
It is suitable for managers, who have to cope with a high degree of success and performance pressure, for working mothers, who have to balance family and job, but also for health-conscious families with or without children.
Fasting is an ancient cultural practice based on a wealth of empirical knowledge that can help you to lighten your burden, to discard what is not or no longer necessary, and to experience a spiritual rebirth.
